A pest and building inspection should be considered an essential part of the home buying process. Unfortunately we get too many calls from purchasers who have skipped these all important inspections because the home they were buying was only a few years old and they thought it would all be okay… But then a few months down the track they realise that its not, and they now have to deal with an unexpected treatment and repair cost associated with finding termites.
When choosing a pest and building inspector we recommend that you make sure that your pest inspector completes termite treatments on a regular basis. Upon finding termites your pest inspector should be able to recommend a treatment plan and QUOTE for this treatment. Receiving a quote before your contract goes unconditional means that you can then make an informed decision about whether or not you want to proceed with the purchase. You will know the total cost to treat the termites and protect the home.
A Sandgate Pest Control technician will spend 1 – 2 hours on site completing a pest inspection. They will thoroughly inspect all areas of the home and property, to determine if termites or other timber pests are present. Our detailed report lists all of the technician’s findings along with recommendations for improvement.
If required we can also organise for an experienced local building inspector to complete a building inspection at the same time.
